Camera effects.

What did you get for Christmas this year? Did you get a camera that will last? One that you can take pictures of everything you see with? If you did not get a camera for Christmas then you probably should look into buying one. A camera is something that you can use everyday. You can take pictures of family, friends, nature, anything you want! If you get good at taking pictures then you may become a professional, you could become well known and then open up your own business! BUT if you didn't get a camera, and your not looking into buying one then none of this will happen. Without a camera and your very own photography business you will have a low paying job and be depressed your whole life because you will know that you could have had a nice life...... but you didn't because you never bought yourself a good camera.

New Year; New Style.

Since it is the new year many people will start to change their style. Many people will try and start fresh with how they dress themselves. People may also change their style due to getting brandnew clothes for christmas.
Some ways to change up your style could be
-Adding a simple scarf to your outfit!
-Trying new trendy shoes
-Maybe even trying a new shade of eyeshadow that you've been dying to use.
You're probably wondering what all of this has to do with photography but it is simple, when people get new clothes or make a "new style" for themselves they take more pictures. More pictures of themselves or the clothes equals more photography!
New Boots!
Add a scarf!

Ringing In The New Years

From those who waited since morning to be in the front, to those who stepped out of dowtown stores moments before the ball dropped, this dowtown party presented by radio station 105.3 Hot-FM was a good time for the crowd of 35,000 to ring in the New Years Monday night in Grand Rapids. The party shook the dowtown area with its music and fun. The packed crowd continued to grow as the acts and performers riled up the audience. Here are a few snap shots of the party. Christmas!

"The best way to spend Christmas cheer is screaming loud for all to hear!" Christmas is approaching this year faster than ever, it's in just 5 days. Five days?....Five days?! Only five days to snow, five days to get all of your presents bought, five days until one of the happiest days ever. But there is still no snow here in Wyoming. With snow people actually get in the holiday spirit but this year is all different.
Without the snow you can't take cute pictures, you can't make a snowman or even have a snowball fight. Christmas this year is all around different.

Here are some pictures. I think that these pictures are funny, but that could be just me. Photography can be used in many ways and one of them can be making people laugh. Photography allows people to take pictures of a moment that happens to be funny add text and they have suddenly created something to brighten a persons day. Sitting in this class writing this post I realized that I have no life and i find stupid things funny. That's ok though because cats are cool.

The Cameras and The Stage!!

In the past few days the Wyoming theater company has done performances of The Beauty and The Beast. The show has had standing ovations before the curtains have even closed, so far the show is going well and to top it off the local news paper has decided to do a article about the show and cast. The photographer came and took many pictures. When I asked him how he enjoyed taking pictures of random strangers he simply replied "it gives me something to do and my free time, and I love photographing people"He says that its like telling a story with many freeze famed shots. Photography is not for everyone but those who do enjoy it can end up shocking us with there stories.

Whats Photo Journalism?

Photo journalism is a particular form of journalism (the collecting, editing, and presenting of material for news or media) that creates images in order to tell a news story. It is now usually understood to refer only to still images, but in some cases the term also refers to video used in broadcast journalism. Photojournalism is distinguished from other close branches of photography by complying with a rigid ethical framework which demands that the work is both honest and can not choose one side while telling the story in strictly journalistic terms. Photojournalists also create pictures that contribute to the news media.
